Indiana Farm Family of the Year runs agritourism business

The 2025 Indiana Farm Family of the Year runs a flower and agritourism business with 5,000 visitors per year. The Frame family first had their vision for the flower farm 11 years ago, and it has grown to include workshops, music events and bouquets of the month. Check out The Barn at Helm’s Facebook page.


New Virginia Farm Bureau president owns catering business

Scott Sink, owner of Blacksburg’s Hethwood Market, has been named the new Virginia Farm Bureau president. He succeeds Wayne Pryor, who chaired the organization for 18 years. Hethwood Market opened in 2009 and features farm membership boxes, local beef and catering.


Montana Agritourism Grant Supports 17 Businesses

Seventeen agribusinesses received $350,000 this year, as part of a 2023 law passed by the Montana legislature. Projects range from $50,000 for a ranch camp to $10,000 for a farrowing barn expansion. Get the full list of awardees here.


Michigan Farm Bureau seeks to protect local venues

Farm Bureau members are encouraging their Michigan state legislature to preempt local governments from excessively regulating agritourism venues. The members are encouraging local governments to follow ​​the Michigan Agricultural Tourism Advisory Commission and MDARD.
